The best way..
to race..
in the world!
"Group C and GTP was the greatest era in sports car racing, and these magnificent and evocative cars have carried my career during the past 25 years. Today, you too have the opportunity to re-live this golden era via Group C/GTP Racing"
says five times Le Mans winner and triple Daytona 24 hour winner -
Derek Bell MBE - our honorary patron
The 2008 season will be truly special as we expect bumper grids at all the events we are attending.
We kick of with our exclusive test day at Snetterton on the 14th of May followed on by the first event at Spa (RMU Classic) on the weekend of the 17th -18th May.
Then we are delighted to be the Group C 24 Hour Le Mans Support Race ( in conjunction with Motor Racing Legends) on the 14th - 15th June. This wil be an event not to miss as the spectacle of these cars running down the Mulsanne straight will be truly special. It should bring a tear to many a die hard fan who remmbers the great era.
Silverstone Classic is next event over the 25th-26th of July weekend and where we will be not only running our traditional Super Sprint but also our new 90 minute Enduro, expect top see many period drivers supporting the current owners when they change round at the pit stops.
Last but not least we will visit the famous Donington circuit on the 4th -5th of October for the Speed Festival and again we will be running our Sprint and Enduro races.
Expect this season to be Group C's finest yet.
We offer a great range of events to appeal to both members keen to race their cars at the sharp end of the premier historic racing grid, through to members who consider it a privilege and relish the opportunity to actually drive the cars they may have watched race in a golden era of sports car racing.
Without exception, all newcomers to a Group C car are simply blown away at just how fantastic these cars are to drive, despite reaching their silver jubilee in 2007. All competitors totally respect each other, and appreciate these are treasured possessions, despite the fact the racing is usually very competitive.
The overall message is one of surprise that the cars are not at all intimidating to drive, and the running costs are refreshingly low, due to the original endurance spec the cars were designed to compete in.We also plan to offer owner / media days where Group C and GTP cars can be exercised in a safe environment, and confidence can be built amongst friends in an unpressurised atmosphere, possibly leading to entering a race or two as the bug bites and confidence grows.
