Group C GTP Racing

6.5 litre Chevrolet engined car designed by Bill Riley (Riley & Scott) and capable of 3.5 G's of cornering force. At Watkins Glen International Raceway in 1991 the Intrepids were only able to hit 178mph on the straights compared to the 212mph the Porsche 962's were capable of achieving. Despite this speed differential the cornering attributes meant the Intrepids were only a half second slower per lap.
